What not to miss at World of Coffee Geneva
From 26 to 28 June 2025, World of Coffee will take place at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event is expected to attract over 13,000 visitors from 150 countries, as well as more than 430 exhibitors and 120 roasters, making it one of the largest international B2B specialty coffee trade shows.
WoC Geneva will host the 2025 World Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, and Cezve/Ibrik Championships. Many brands will also organise their own afterparties and unofficial events across the three days.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit some of Europe’s best specialty coffee shops and roasters.

Which competitions will take place?
WoC Geneva will be held at the Palexpo Convention Centre, Rte François-Peyrot 30, 1218 Le Grand-Saconnex, Switzerland – close to Geneva International Airport.
“Geneva is one of the biggest coffee hubs in the world,” says Hanuman Jain, the CEO of Ecotact, a green and roasted coffee packaging solutions company. “Trade shows like WoC Geneva allow us to connect with our global coffee community, understand evolving market needs, and share innovations directly with the people we design them for.”
The event typically hosts several World Coffee Championships. This year, it will include the 2025 World Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, and Cezve/Ibrik Championships.
Over 120 coffee professionals will participate in the four competitions, which evaluate a range of skills. All winners will be announced at the expo.
The popularity of coffee events in Europe
Specialty coffee is an industry built on close relationships and collaboration, so events and trade shows are an essential part of sales and marketing. In recent years, more trade shows and expos have been taking place in Europe specifically, which accounted for almost a quarter of the world’s coffee consumption in 2023, according to the European Coffee Federation.
“Events like WoC Geneva provide a unique opportunity for us to engage directly with coffee professionals, roasters, and buyers from around the world,” says Ítalo Henrique, the Commercial Director at Expocacer, the Cerrado Coffee Growers Cooperative in Brazil.
“By participating, we can showcase the quality and sustainability of Cerrado Mineiro coffees, foster new partnerships, and strengthen existing relationships,” he adds. “These events also serve as a platform for meaningful discussions about the future of coffee production, innovation, and sustainability.”
Each year, the SCA hosts World of Coffee in a different European city. The event is considered one of the most important trade shows in the coffee industry, attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually.
“We have participated in coffee industry events since 2009. From large corporations to small companies, WoC provides an opportunity to meet people face-to-face and introduce our software solutions to them effectively,” says Prasad Raju, the founder and managing director of Invensoft, a company specialising in commodity management software solutions for the agricultural sector.
Afterparties and unofficial events
Leading up to and across all three days of WoC Geneva, numerous companies and organisations will host their own activities and events.
“Expocacer will host two cupping sessions at booth #1026. The first session will take place from 14:00 to 15:00 on 26 June, and the second from 12:30 to 13:30 on 27 June,” says Sandra Moraes, Expocacer’s Commercial Manager of Specialty Coffees. “Visitors will be able to taste coffees distinct to our four new labels – Origin, One, Plot, and Impact – that highlight flavours unique to Cerrado Mineiro.”
“Invensoft will host a new Digital Coffee Sampling Management launch session to introduce our XBS Connect software at booth #2081 every day at the expo,” Prasad says. “The first session will take place from 11:00 to 12:00, and the second from 15:00 to 16:00. Visitors at the new launch session will be eligible for an introductory free subscription to XBS Connect.”
Guatemalan Coffees will host a tasting session from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Barista Lab on 24 June. Other afterparties and additional events include:

Following WoC Geneva, the second edition of Beantropy will take place in Paris, France, on 1 July, featuring producer-led workshops and the Soil of Excellence competition.

Geneva coffee shop tour
Surrounded by the Alps and the Jura mountains, Geneva offers stunning views of the dramatic Mont Blanc.

Who will be exhibiting at WoC Geneva?
WoC trade shows consistently attract a broad range of exhibitors. From producers and traders to roasters, coffee shops, and equipment manufacturers, some of the most prominent companies and brands in the global coffee sector will be in attendance.
“Attendees will have the chance to check out Ecotact’s nine-layer hermetic bags for green coffee and our new range of hermetic bags with valves for roasted coffee at booth #1347,” Hanuman says. “We’ll also highlight our Zero Waste Box initiative in Europe, now available in the UK, and our custom branding service.”
Other exhibitors will include cooperatives from a number of coffee-growing countries.
“Visitors at our booth can learn more about our commitment to traceability and sustainability, specifically through the ECO by Expocacer protocol,” says Ítalo. “This ensures that every coffee produced meets rigorous environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.”
Sandra adds: “We’re also excited to share more information about our new logistics hubs in the US and UK, expanding our presence in key markets and facilitating more efficient access to our cooperative members’ coffees.”
Specialist commodity solution groups will also be present at the event.
“At booth #2681, Invensoft will launch XBS Connect, a commodity counterparty management software platform where sellers and buyers can digitally send, receive, manage, and assess their coffee samples,” Prasad says.
“Visitors can also learn about the XBS Commodity Management system, our flagship product, which is used in 14 coffee-producing countries to procure, store, process, and export over 45% of global coffee volumes.”
WoC Geneva is set to be the biggest edition yet. Alongside the trade show, competitions, and afterparties, attendees will be able to experience the city’s exceptional specialty coffee scene.
